All About Pregnancy

In this episode, Angie and Jessica share their stories of pregnancy, as well as what you might feel physically and emotionally while pregnant. We’ll review symptoms, appointments you can expect, and our tricks.

Angie and Jessica share their stories of pregnancy. 

Here’s how you MAY feel during your pregnancy: 

Physical: You’ll feel hungover, have headaches, have to pee all the time, heartburn, muscle aches, hemorrhoids, swelling, sleep will fluctuate

Emotional: Overjoyed, happy, nervous, roller coaster, emotional, sad, hormonal fluctuations, worried, loss of sense of self/independence, upset, anger, irritated, love, alone, supported, etc (let yourself have your own experience).

How to handle morning sickness: 

Pedialyte Pops (At CVS), Candied Ginger, ginger chews from Trader Joes, bubbly water (Soda Stream), salty crackers, ice chips, etc.

How to support leg circulation: 

Compression Leggings: Rejuva Health-medical grade (Get the Firm Level-30-40mmHg)

Medical Appointments: 

10 Weeks: Blood work for your overall health, vitamin levels, genetic/chromosomal testing, urinalysis

24 Weeks: Gestational Diabetes Screen, if positive it’s followed by an additional glucose screen 

36-37 Weeks: Strep B Test

*If you are over the age of 35 or considered to be high risk you’ll be referred to a perinatologist for growth ultrasounds throughout your pregnancy. 

Self-Care: Stroller Strides, PlyoJam
