Quotes from Lynn:

“We don’t always love motherhood but we love our kids.”

“There are challenges and struggles in every single stage.”

“You’re not the only one”

“I’m telling myself this story that I’m the only one. That community piece is what we are all missing.”

“A lot of the things I was experiencing were irrational.” “One of my tools is ‘is it rational?’”

Keep in mind:

  • Give yourself a lot of grace

  • Be proud of yourself because you do your best, not based on how much you do.

  • Supermom doesn’t exist.

  • Asking for help is a strength.

  • Separate livelihood from mothering. Go through the tasks and find out what you can separate. The mothering is the most important job. It’s ok if the dishes and laundry don’t get done.

  • Don’t put so much pressure on yourself.

  • Focus on connection with your child.
