Quotes & Tips From Lisa:

“Stick to your no”

“I needed a community”

“I wanted to be a mom first and foremost.”

“Motherhood was my biggest obstacle in building the business.”

“Live as you want your kids to live.”

We need a village to raise a child and a mom (other cultures take shifts when taking care of the baby).

Find the strength in motherhood.

Time is our most precious resource.

Get outside, get exercise, get support, get sleep, put good foods in your body.

You’ve got to get a minimum dose of sleep.

Mom, you set the tone in your home…model healthy eating and activity.

Model healthy eating, come together for family meals.

You model what you hope they will do in the future.

Set out a veggie platter in a muffin tin.

Sufficient self-care:

We need more oxytocin (singing, dancing, hugging, connecting)

Whenever you are stressed out, take mommy time outs and do breathwork (breath in, and make “haaa” sound when breathing out)

Determine the 3 most important things NOW in your life and make sure those things are getting your time.

In life you continue to counterbalance, there is no balance

Figure out your “why.”

Healthy Habits:

Wake up before your kids do (This applies only to those past sleep deprivation and whose kids are sleeping through the night).

Create a ritual that is for you (meditation, reading, journaling, prayer) it sets the tone of the day.

Do a weekly check in with your partner about your “emotional bank account.”

Plan time away from the kids with your partner.
